Elfen Lied is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Lynn Okamoto. Lucy is the main character of the series. She is initially held in a facility built for experimentation; she manages to escape and wreak havoc but is injured in the process, which causes her to develop a secondary, childlike personlity known as Nyu.
